Oh my, a Barny Dining Room Transformation

Sometimes transforming a room is as simple as adding a coat of paint $50, Replacing the lighting $50 and decluttering $0. You don't need a ton of artwork, accessories and distractions. Staging is about showcasing the space, the floors, windows and architectural details. In the after pictures below the space is the star.

In the afters the uncluttered space opens up the possibilities, and the floor adds a lot of appeal, where in the befores it is not that noticeable. Nice work!

The details of the room are more noticeable now.  Great job.  What were they thinking with that color?

Maureen - what a miraculous transformation. It's not the money but the eye and the vision.

Great color change Maureen!  I now notice the space and beautiful window and not the personal color choice.

Maureen from a cave with no interest to a lovely room with great details.  I once told a seller that her purple wasn't a good color for selling a home and her response was "I'm not changing it, it's eggplant not purple."  DUH.

Now buyers can really see the beautiful wood floors and the crown molding ... both were overpowered before by the strong color and too much clutter.  Nice job!

Thanks guys, this was a fun project.

Ginger - that is too funny, these homeowners called it Eggplant also! They were good sports.  They hate the beige though. When they move they are going to do the purple again!
