Posting your vFlyer to Craig's list - Directions

Updated - If you would like to post your vFlyer directly to your AR blog you can follow the directions here:

Posting your vFlyer to your Active Rain Blog - Directions

OK I have been asked to explain how to post a vFlyer onto Craig's list.  Here are the directions:

1. Go to Craig's list and create an account.  It is free and takes a minute or so.

2.  Go to http://www.vflyer.com/main/Guest.jsp  Register if you have not done so already.  Create a vFlyer - it is very easy.  They have great templates to choose from.  I just copied info right from my website and pasted it to my vFlyer.  Don't forget to add pics and links to your website and AR Blog. Here are two of mine: http://homestaging.vflyer.com/3/index.html   and   http://homestaging.vflyer.com/5/index.html

3.  Hit the Post vflyer button.

4.  In the middle of the page you will see a box that says Craigslist HTML.  Copy everything in the box.  It looks like a bunch of junk and it is quite long.  Apparently that is what HTML looks like.

5.  Go to http://www.craigslist.org/

6.  In the upper left hand corner hit:  Post to classifieds.

7.  Select services offered.

8.  Select Real estate Service

9 Choose a location

10.  You should see the blank ad form.   Create a Posting Title.

11. OK remember in step 2 you copied the HTML vFlyer - Now paste it  into the posting description.

12.  Hit continue

13.  Input the verification word at the bottom.

14. Hit Continue again.

15 you are done - The first time you publish with Craig's they email you a copy of your post.  I think you have to click on something to make the post official.  I think after that they just post the ad without the confirmation.

16.  After 15 minutes or so you can go to Craig's list and view your ad.  In 1-2 days your Craig's list ad will appear in Yahoo and Goggle search results.  Can you say SEO!!!

The only thing with Craig's list is the ads are only good for 7 days.  Then they expire. So you have to repeat this every 7th day.  I just make it a part of my Monday routine.

That is it.  I know it seems very long but it really only takes a few minutes.  If you have any questions let me know I'll try to help as best I can.

I think creating a vFlyer is pretty easy but if anyone is having problems with that let me know also.

Happy Posting.

PS - Forgot to mention that I received an email from vFlyer that says basically they have worked the kinks out with Craig's list and everything will work fine now.

Rolo Squares - Faux Turtle Cookies

I am going to a cookie swap tonight and these are the cookies I made:

ROLO SQUARES -  Faux Turtle Cookies

Ingredients: Equal amounts:
Small square Pretzels (Snyder Snaps)
Rolo Candies
Whole Pecans
Directions: Preheat oven to 350 degrees.  Place pretzels on a cookie sheet.  Place on rolo on top of each pretzel.  Bake in the oven for 5 minutes.  You want the rolos to be soft but not melted.  Remove from oven and immediately smush one pecan on top of each cookie.  Cool then Serve.

These are probably the easiest and most delicious cookies you can make.  There are only 3 ingredients, no mixing and they cook in 5 min.  They are a lot of fun to make with kids.

* In one of my earlier blogs I said I would not blog about cookies again - so I'm only posting this in the recipe section.

Don't tell the Stagers I'm talking about cookies again.

They think I have an obsession. SHHHHHHHH!

Update - Addbranding merged with another company and is no longer available.

TRY IT FOR FREE!!! Then purchase it at a 40% discount. Promotional code AFL267.

This is absolutely my favorite new product. It is an email Stationery from Addbranding.com. I love it!

I think it is one of the best ways to market yourself using email. You can upload your photos, logos and any other information you want to use on your stationery.

Every time I send an email I am marketing my company - getting my - website - logo and tag-line seen.

I'm sure a lot of Realtors already use this service or a similar one. It works with every email system and is MLS compatible. There is even a wireless component (although I have no idea how to use that part). I think it is the perfect tool for stagers also. I am marketing it as "Staged" email.

I liked Addbranding so much I decided to become a certified Addbranding reseller.

I think the best part is that you can try Addbranding email stationery for free at: http://www.addbranding.com/rm_wizard/newuser.php?ref=homepage_h

For any more information and testimonials you can check out their home page at: http://www.addbranding.com/index.php

Since I am a reseller I am selling it at 40% discount. The retail price is $40 for email, $30 for MSL and $20 for wireless stationery. I am selling all three for $24.99 for one year. To sign up, first try it for free- you can send up to 20 emails for free, then if you decide to purchase it put in my discount code: AFL267. You don't have to put in a credit card or anything - it really is a free trial. You can go in and change the stationery any time you like and it is easy to send Branded emails or send them plain for friends and family. Here are some other examples of people's stationery.

OK I have a new reason to LOVE my email stationery. The logo is embedded with a link so now I linked my Real Estate Show commercial to my logo. I put a little note on the top. To see our amazing transformations click the pink logo. HOW COOL IS THAT Here is the show that is linked to the logo:

If anyone would like to see what the stationery looks like when emailed just send me an email and I'll reply with a staged / Branded email:
